Three Generations
of Flavor
In Ethiopian tradition, a meal is never just food — it's an act of love. We tear injera with our hands, scoop from the same plate, and share stories across the table. That's the spirit behind every dish at Cozy Cafe.
Family-run, woman-owned, and proudly Black-owned, our restaurant carries recipes passed down through generations — from the highlands of Ethiopia to Havana Street in Aurora. Our berbere is ground by hand. Our injera is fermented with patience. Our stews simmer low and slow.
We opened Cozy Cafe to give Aurora a place where Ethiopian culture lives and breathes — where the coffee ceremony is a ritual, not a novelty, and where every guest becomes part of our extended family.
